I love your reframing! Finding purpose is vast, bound to leave us dissatisfied until maybe death, but creating the conditions to find it is much more concrete, practical, and scalable in the downward direction. I feel lighter already. :-)
Thank you Tara. If we could see ourselves as gardens to be tended rather than machines to be constantly productive, perhaps we’d all feel a lot lighter. I’m so glad you do. 🤗
Your post certainly resonates with some of the messages and insights I have been "given" by my angels over the years. One of the most profound and simple is "Stop looking; start seeing" which is related to the "Awakening Prayer" (you can find this FREE http://www.awakeningprayer.uk/ ). Another is a personal message I was given by a wonderful "Master Teacher" who acted as my birth mother as I fumbled and stumbled my way into awakening to the work I do now with the angels. Her words to me were "Through your work, the Light of the Divine and the Light of Humanity will be unified". . . I didn't fully grasp the meaning of this at the time, but I never forgot her words, and now I am closer to understanding. The third message was delivered directly form an angel with whom I was blessed to "meet" at Easter in 2003. The message was delivered in 3 parts as follows "God is being. Being is enough. God is enough" and even with my limited grasp of divinity I recognised that a 3 statements of 3 words was something to pay attention to and remember. So for me, the simple translation of all this is to show up, as I am, do my best and allow others to find what they need to find in me and in my work. Thanks for the re- minder Tina !!!! (PS I have a Human Design profile somewhere on my shelves . . . but where have I put it??? Hmmmm)
“show up, as I am, do my best and allow others to find what they need to find in me and in my work.” I love that Alison! I think that sums up ‘purpose’ beautifully.
Paul and I were discussing songwriting and performance anxiety last night (as we do!). In the midst of the conversation, out of my mouth came “ I write not because I want to be seen but so that others can see and hear and find themselves in my words”. I hadn’t articulated it that way before, but I felt that in my bones.
(Btw, I can run your HD chart again to save you looking for it🤗)

Definitely grow something that will flower alongside you, Sally Ann. 🌻🌷
Tina, yes and all of the above. Going within to know yourself, is in fact the journey toward self-awareness. I have recently penned s piece about how purpose affects or improves focus and creativity. For perusing here: https://snefzgerpr.wordpress.com/2025/05/08/how-does-purpose-improve-our-work-and-creative-life/
Thank you Susan 🤗I love your piece - you are so wise my friend.
